About

Applied Engineering Concepts, Incorporated is a growing engineering company providing solutions to challenging engineering problems at the intersection of cybersecurity, signal processing, and embedded systems. The combined expertise of AEC personnel provide us with an opportunity to offer a novel solution to an age-old problem in network security.

Welcome IdentiPHY.

Established in 2010

Applied Engineering Concepts, Incorporated (AEC) was founded in 2010 with the objective of building a diverse team of engineers and program managers to support the unique needs of the Intelligence Community and the DoD in wireless communications.

Changing Cybersecurity Now

Since 2019, AEC has been proving the technical feasibility and commercial viability of its physical layer device authentication technique, IdentiPHY.  The goal is to improve the world of network security by enabling true multi-factor device authentication based on the distinct native attributes of communications devices.

Our Team

Jeffrey Clements

President

Prior to founding AEC, Jeff worked for a number of small companies as a subject matter expert in signal processing and systems development. These experiences made him a strong proponent of the power of small businesses; specifically, how they can leverage their agile nature to serve customers' needs, and the benefits employees receive from a small, supportive environment.

William Suski, PhD

Principal Engineer

William joined Applied Engineering Concepts, Incorporated in 2018 with the goal of expanding the company's research and development activities.  IdentiPHY was inspired by his 2008 research in the field of wireless device fingerprinting, which resulted in some of the earliest publications focused on physical layer authentication of commercial communication devices.
